Alison Doody

Alison Doody is an Irish model and actress. She was born on November 11, 1966. She made her debut in the Bond film, A View to a Kill in 1985. In 1989 she played Nazi-sympathizing archaeologist Elsa Schneider in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. Other roles include Siobhan Donavan in A Prayer for the Dying (1987) Charlotte in Taffin (1988) and Rebecca Flannery in Major League II (1994). Approached by a photographer Doody decided to take up modeling, which turned into an industry-related career in modelling. Doody did not wear fashion, thongs and glamour when she was modeling. She accepted a small part as Jenny Flex for 1985's A View to a Kill following the fact that she was spotted by the director who cast her. Doody's name was featured as a part of John Willis Screen World Vol. 12 which features the most promising actors from 1986. 38. Doody was only 18 when she made her first appearance in the Bond part. Today Doody is considered to be the youngest Bond girl. In 1987, Mickey Rourke starred in A Prayer for the Dying in which she played IRA members Siobhan Doovan. Doody was a silent actress in the 1987 version of The Secret Garden, playing Archibald Craven's dream wife Lilias. Doody's first leading role came in a 1988 episode of Jim Henson fantasy series The Storyteller in the role of Sapsorrow opposite John Hurt Dawn French and Jennifer Saunders. She also appeared alongside Pierce Brosnan on the movie Taffin. Her most recognizable performance to date was her role as Austrian Nazi sympathizer as well as archaeologist Dr. Elsa Schneider opposite Harrison Ford in the 1989 film Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. The film also starred Sean Connery as Indy's father Doody is a co-star with three actors that have played James Bond. Doody was a part of Jonathan Pryce as Hitler Diaries which was a British mini-series that was inspired by Hitler Diaries. Then she moved to Hollywood. The actress later became Flannery Charlie Sheen's agent as well as girlfriend in Major League II. She had been chosen as an alternative to Cybill Shepherd, who was L'Oreal's first spokeswoman. Doody's first appearance on the big screen came in 2003 when Michael Caine played Doody in a short role. In 2004, she starred in a film with Patrick Swayze as a television adaptation of King Solomon's Mines. She played a role as a character in Benjamin's Struggle, a 2005 booklet on the Holocaust. Doody played a small role in Danny Dyer's movie The Rapture (2010). In the following year, she was a guest in RTE's Medical thriller The Clinic. She was also set to be the star of a remake in 2011 of the horror movie The Asphyx. However, this project fell through. In 2011 she began the second season on E4 comedy drama Beaver Falls playing Pam Jefferson. She appeared in We Still Kill the Old Way (2014). The Almeria the tierra de film prize was presented to her on the 21st of November in 2018. She also received an award at the Almeria Walk of Fame.
